ABOUT
Rico's Mexican -
Local Authentic Mexican
Chef Ricky prides himself on providing truly flavorful Mexican cuisine in Stockbridge, GA.
Ricardo Olivares, Sr. and family arrived in the United States from Mexico in 1971 and immediately opened his first restaurant in Underground Atlanta. We relocated to Stockbridge in 1982 after the renovations of Underground Atlanta and opened Guadalajara Restaurant. This twenty year old establishment was passed onto Ricardo's children and thrived with a consistent reputation for fine food and a relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately it had to close it's doors in 2000 due to a commercial development. The Olivares family could not be deterred and Ricardo's youngest daughter, Chela, took a leap of faith to re-established the business.
Rico's was opened on June 6th, 2002 and named in memory of one of the Olivares sons who served in the United States Navy. Ricardo Sr.'s authentic recipes, along with some of his own exotic creations, have now been passed down to the next generation.

Ricky Olivares, one of Ricardo's grandsons serves as our Lead Chef and continues to carry out the family tradition of offering a variety of Mexican cuisine, as well as adding his own personal unique style in the kitchen.
After thirty years, Rico's is still a staple in Stockbridge's dining experiences and continues to welcome customers into our family. We thank everyone who has supported us through the years and strive to satisfy your tastes buds for years to come.
We feature a full bar, banquet room, lunch buffet, catering, and take-out service. Rico's has frequent specials, live entertainment, and hosts benefits for the community in a warm, family friendly atmosphere that is not a far drive from Clayton County or Downtown Atlanta.
